TLW A Six Fingered Alien.
The thing is that if it was meant to be in a different base other than 10 then it would have been stated as so, with that absent we always assume a mathematical statement to be in base 10.
We need to throw away the wrap-around text and just solve the question with the numbers given.
I do not think he was alluding to an alien way of calculating.
He had a fixation on aliens, and used them to pose the question in quite a few of his questions.
Thus:
#1 The Problem of the Bones. Imagine that a creature from outer space walks you before a pit…
#2 The Omega Sphere. An alien walks up to you and hands you a sphere…
#3 This one.
#4 23. An alien comes to you and says, 23 is my favorite number…
#7 Stick Toss. An alien comes up to you and draws a circle…
and also in #8, #12, #13, #21
you get my drift.29th April 2020 at 4:43 pm #4797110degrees-adminKeymaster@TLW I have 2007 and 2008 from [CENSORED]. Could you send me any others that you have? Thank you.
@Harry, I dunno why you and [CENSORED] have a rivalry. Does [CENSORED] know? Do you think that [CENSORED] comes to steal students and [CENSORED] them to [CENSORED] in order to [CENSORED] in [CENSORED] or [CENSORED]? Is [CENSORED] a [CENSORED] [CENSORED], [CENSORED] but [CENSORED] or [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED]? The [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED], and [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED]

SPOILER – I HAVE FOUND THE ORIGINAL QUESTION AND THE RESPONSE TO IT!
If you still want to work it for yourself then do not decrypt the following.Encrypted in Base64 to retain format.
Go here: https://www.dcode.fr/base-64-encoding
Clear then paste the cipher into the top box.
Make sure ASCII CHARACTERS (PRINTABLE ONLY) is selected then Decode.============================================================

https://qmplus.qmul.ac.uk/pluginfile.php/1910076/mod_resource/content/3/AllVigCips2019.txt29th April 2020 at 4:46 pm #4797310degrees-adminKeymasterTLW A Six-Fingered Alien.
The exact value for a certain base n, where n>6, under the conditions specified in the original problem, goes like this:
(11[base 10]! * 21[base 10] * 111111111111[base n])/32[base 10]But we can extend this formula. (WARNING: BIG FORMULAS AHEAD!)
The original problem specified the numbers must be from 1 to 6. But what if it was from 1 to a? (Now, n>a.) The formula is now:
(a((2a-1)!)(a+1)(n^(2a)+n^(2a-1)+n^(2a-2)+…+n^2+n+1))/(2^a) (All numbers in base 10)And here is the formula for numbers a to b (n>b):
((2b-2a+1)!(b(b+1)-a(a-1))(n^(2b-2a+2)+n^(2b-2a+1)+n^(2b-2a)+…+n^2+n+1))/(2^(b-a+1)) (All numbers in base 10)And here is the formula where the numbers a to b are repeated c times:
((c(b-a+1)-1)!(b(b+1)-a(a-1))(n^(c(b-a+1))+n^(c(b-a+1)-1)+n^(c(b-a+1)-2)+…+n^2+n+1))/2(c^(b-a)) (All numbers in base 10)30th April 2020 at 10:34 pm #4801910degrees-adminKeymasterp.s. @Kford, what is the keyword? Too many unused letters for me to see it. Thanks.

Sorry this late reply – Nice bit of math there, thanks 🙂
4th May 2020 at 12:00 pm #4806910degrees-adminKeymasterAnother correction for ‘TLW A Six Fingered Alien’:
IGNORE POST #48041 UNLESS YOU WANT KA-1 HINT THREE, IN WHICH CASE DO NOT IGNORE POST #48041! (Note: it hasn’t been moderated at time of posting!)
The last formula in post #47973 is meant to be:
((c(b-a+1)-1)!(b(b+1)-a(a-1))(n^(c(b-a+1))+n^(c(b-a+1)-1)+n^(c(b-a+1)-2)+…+n^2+n+1))/2((c-1)!)((c!)^(b-a)) (All numbers in base 10)
(Really complicated!)4th May 2020 at 12:01 pm #4804110degrees-adminKeymasterTLW A Six Fingered Alien.
FORMULA CORRECTION
This is what the last formula was meant to be; I forgot a factorial sign!
((c(b-a+1)-1)!(b(b+1)-a(a-1))(n^(c(b-a+1))+n^(c(b-a+1)-1)+n^(c(b-a+1)-2)+…+n^2+n+1))/2((c!)^(b-a)) (All numbers in base 10)
Workings out at request!

@TLW Why would the author mention the fingers if not to direct us to his number system? I refer you to this informational video that addresses the point:
@everyone, typo: the dozenal ten is X, not T
Plus, I prefer the name elv for E, rather than el, since elv is the Germanic word for eleven.4th May 2020 at 2:36 pm #48077Inactive@Madness, did you read my #47977 post and the decode of the 64base text?
Never the mind, it is so much more the fun to play with the possibility of other base systems!
I like your thinking on this, that is why I enjoyed your #47945 post.4th May 2020 at 9:00 pm #4808410degrees-adminKeymaster@Kford, are you sure about that? Is the solution to the original challenge, you refer to it as one kind of cipher, but it doesn’t seem to fit as the keyword.
5th May 2020 at 9:29 am #4808710degrees-adminKeymaster@Madness, try the original cipher’s variants!
5th May 2020 at 2:36 pm #4809510degrees-adminKeymaster@Kford, you just can’t tell me that 200 and 112 are next to each other. Sorry.
