Here is my method of doing Challenge 6:
1) Find out the twist! (Completed ages ago!)
2) Solve the crossword! (Completed… finally after solving 7 Across via Google Images!)

Is this one of the Richard Osman’s House Of Games rounds directly, or is it based on it?
[I am not entirely sure which came first, but this was a puzzle set by GCHQ for their amusement, and they do have a habit of discovering things before the credited inventor did (see public key cryptography for example) so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case here. Harry]
